Location of the hotel, breakfast and restaurant was perfect. For us, due to my wife's disease, the gluten free choices in breakfast buffet and restaurant worth mentioning. We have no problem in communication in English with the receptionists, they speak very well English. One of the receptionist lady (whom I am so sorry not to take her name) was very helpful in understanding our areas of interest and advising accordingly some places in Marseille. The size of the room was very sufficient (even more than our expectations) with a large bathroom and very efficiently working shower (except the shower gel, shampoo and hair conditioner trio set which was not working properly and it must be rethought to use a bar soap in a city which is famous with their soaps).

Friendliness of the staff who couldn’t have been more helpful. The position of the hotel overlooking the Vieux Port was excellent with many bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The food was also amongst the best we ate during our stay.

The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful, perhaps the friendliest I have ever met during my time in France. Great location, big room, convenient and safe parking. I forgot my toothbrush, the staff brought it over promptly. Will definitely stay here again next time I am in Marseille.

I am rather surprised by some of the mixed-to-negative comments made regarding this hotel. I was genuinely impressed by it. The room was excellent, breakfast was fantastic, the location was perfect, and the staff members were generally kind and professional.

The staff was over-the-top. Amazing! We arrived from an international flight early and our room was not ready. However, they were able to give us a beautiful suite as we only had about 16 hours until our next flight back home. It was a great way to spend our last day! We enjoyed Marseille and everything was very walkable from the location of the hotel. My cousin came and joined us for lunch and we enjoyed the food. I would highly recommend Hotel Blu!

Excellent location! Close to many restaurants and shops. We were able to check in 45 mins early, and our room was lovely, very spacious with a beautiful view of the harbour. Housekeeping was very attentive and brought us extra coffee for the room. The pool was a great addition and had beautiful views. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel's location is excellent, located on the Bay of Marseille and close to most of the tourist attractions that can be reached on foot. The staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast in the restaurant is varied and simple. I felt comfortable during my stay.

Great room with a beautiful outside terrace overlooking port. Careful the "suite" we had booked was not one with a separation which is what we had requested as were travelling with a teenager. Good breakfast and great location. Nice pool area
